The Challenge
After the original facility was destroyed by a devastating tornado, Mercy needed to rebuild a state-of-the-art hospital to restore healthcare access in Joplin. The project demanded rapid delivery of a large, complex medical campus with enhanced resilience and modern care capabilities.
The Solution
Rick contributed to the successful execution of this $335 million, 890,000 sq ft, 8-level replacement hospital. The facility includes over 260 inpatient beds and serves a wide range of specialties, including medical-surgical, critical care, women’s and children’s services, behavioral health, and rehabilitation.
