To successfully deliver the renovation within an active academic setting, the project team implemented a focused and well-coordinated construction plan that prioritized safety, accessibility, and minimal disruption to surrounding campus activities. Work was carefully sequenced to isolate the lab while maintaining normal operations in adjacent areas, allowing students and faculty to continue utilizing the Tutt Science Center without interruption. Close collaboration with Colorado College stakeholders ensured alignment with departmental needs, academic schedules, and accessibility requirements. Clear communication and proactive planning allowed the team to anticipate challenges and adjust workflows as needed, maintaining efficiency throughout the project. ADA improvements and modifications to counters and cabinetry were executed with precision, resulting in a functional and inclusive lab environment tailored to the needs of the Geology department. Careful attention was given to integrating these upgrades within the existing space, ensuring both compliance and long-term usability. Through disciplined execution, controlled work zones, and a strong emphasis on cleanliness and safety, the project was completed efficiently and with minimal impact to the surrounding environment. The result is a modernized, accessible laboratory space that enhances both functionality and the overall academic experience.
